What will we do during sessions?
These 60-minute sessions are highly personalized. They can include:
– Plan updates
– Strength or mobility work
– Hands-on physical therapy if needed
– Movement or form assessments
– Problem-solving any issues that are slowing your progress
What's the difference between this running program and one I can get online?
Most online programs give you a generic mileage plan—and leave you guessing when something starts to hurt, or when life gets in the way.
This is completely different. Your program is built and adjusted by Dr. Jonathan Mace, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and RRCA-certified running coach, based on your goals, your body, and your training history.
You’ll also get monthly in-person sessions to update your plan, work on strength and movement, and address anything that’s limiting your progress—before it turns into a setback.
It’s not just a training plan. It’s expert coaching plus physical therapy, all in one.
Dr. Jonathan's clinical expertise brings an additional level of specialization that will guarantee that you're on the best plan that will set you up for performance.
Do I have to be injured to join this program?
Nope! This program is designed for both healthy runners and those returning from injury. The difference is that you’ll have a Doctor of Physical Therapy monitoring your progress either way—so you can train smarter and reduce your risk of injury long-term.
How often will my plan be updated?
Your running plan is reviewed and adjusted regularly based on your progress, goals, and how your body responds.
Big updates typically happen during your monthly in-person session, but you'll have access to text/call Dr. Jonathan in between sessions for tweaks needed along the way. You'll be fully supported in between each session and changes will be made as needed throughout the month.
Is strength training included in the plan?
Yes! Each tier includes either a custom strength training plan or a general plan depending on your goals. If you want a custom strength plan, choose tiers Premium or Elite.
What if I need more than one session a month?
You can book additional visits with Dr. Jonathan at a discounted physical therapy rate—or upgrade to a higher coaching tier that includes more frequent support.
I'm not sure if I need physical therapy or running coaching
That's ok! We'll be doing a blend of both in this program, but to make sure that this is the best fit for you, you'll have a phone consultation with Jonathan first.
Based on your conversation, if he thinks that you need physical therapy first, you can begin that process with him, and transition seamlessly into run coaching at the right time.
If you're cleared for coaching, you'll still receive his clinical expertise in your program and get the best of both worlds.
