Why Strength Training Matters, Especially Now
As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass, bone density, and the ability to recover from injury as quickly. This process can start as early as our 30s and accelerates if we're inactive or hesitant to move due to past pain or injury. This is especially dire for women as hormonal changes affect our bone health.
But the good news is: this decline isn't inevitable.
In fact, it's reversible.
Strength training is one of the most powerful tools we have to:
-
Preserve and rebuild muscle
- Reduce chronic inflammation & pain symptoms
-
Protect our joints and bones
-
Improve balance, coordination, and energy
-
Stay independent and active for years to come
Many people know they should strength train but don't know where to start, or feel intimidated by traditional gyms.
